Photos of Sandy, Her Doctors,
a Letter, and the Gnome

Stanford, California -- May 2006

The Gnome tours the Stanford campus and finds a bit of the Northwest.

And the beautiful art at the Rodin sculpture garden...

where, of course, he finds the Gates of Hell.

Walking up into the light at the Stanford Cancer Center.

Sandy proudly displays her warrior scar - complete with 22 staples.
Beneath this incision, a circular portion of her skull was cut out.
The tumor was removed and the skull bone replaced,
held in place with small titanium plates.
The staples in her scalp will be removed about May 30th.
Since she can't get this area wet until the staples are out,
she's really looking forward to washing her hair.
